Tom Seaver earned the highest Hall of Fame vote percentage in baseball history. He won 311 games, and had a lifetime ERA of 2.86. But this night, the Phillies had his number, chasing Tom Terrific in the second inning. They would score six off Seaver, and three off Reds relievers. They would need every one, as Larry Christenson was equally ineffective. Homers by Greg Luzinski, Keith Moreland and Ramon Aviles highlighted the offensive onslaught for the Phillies.
