July 11, 1980

Mike Schmidt returned this day from a brief stint on the disabled list because of a leg injury.  His presence was felt in the Phils' lineup as he tripled twice, scored twice and knocked in a run, helping the Phillies beat the Chicago Cubs 7-2.  The Phils enjoyed a offensive surge against Cubs pitcher Lynn McGlothlin, helping rookie Bob Walk earn his fifth win.
