June 1, 1980 - Chicago 5, Phillies 4
In the third game of the series, Chicago roared back from an early 3-0 deficit to beat the Phillies, 5-4. Rookie Bob Walk started the game for the Phils, lasting 5-1/3 innings in giving up four earned runs. Neither Walk nor Cubs starter Dennis Lamp factored in the decision. Phils reliever Ron Reed took the loss, giving up an RBI single to Scot Thompson in the bottom of the 7th inning. That single made a winner out of Dick Tidrow for the Cubs. Mike Schmidt hit his 17th homer of the season.
