May 10, 1980
In his long career in the National League, Steve Carlton had a losing record against only two teams: the New York Mets, and the Cincinnati Reds. Unfortunately, his record held firm in this game as Carlton lost against fellow hall-of-famer Tom Seaver. Carlton gave up four hits and four walks over his seven inning - unfortunately, four of those runners scored, and the Phils could manage only three against Seaver and reliever Tom Hume.
