Steve Carlton actually needed the Phillies tonight - and he got them. Lefty, who had been stellar to this point in the season, stumbled just a bit against the Reds, allowing four runs in his seven innings of work. But the Phils were able to get him his seventh victory against Frank Pastore, thanks to a three-run seventh inning.
