April 19, 1980 - Phillies 13, Montreal 4
The Expos jumped to an early 3-0 lead, scoring in both the first and second innings. It was back and forth from there until the Phils took the lead for good in the fifth inning. Entering the ninth, the Phils held a 7-4 lead before a six-run explosion in that inning made it a laugher. Larry Christenson earned his first win of the season by surviving five innings, giving up four runs (three earned). Dickie Noles pitched four scoreless innings to earn his first save. Luis Aguayo made his major league debut, pinch running for Manny Trillo in the third inning and staying at second base for the rest of the game.
Phils' Record: 4-3
Place: Tied for 2nd with the Cubs, ½ game behind the Pirates.
