The Phillies had Steve Carlton on this spring day.  He, and just a bit of offense, would be all the Phils would need - and they got more than a bit of offense.  Carlton was masterful, holding the Cardinals to one hit while the Phils busted out of their offensive slump, scoring seven runs for their ace.
