July 7, 1980
The Phillies headed into the All-Star break with a second place record, just one game behind the Montreal Expos, but with a lot of questions. The offense, which was one of the hallmarks, had been inconsistent, especially with injuries to Greg Luzinski and Mike Schmidt. The pitching after Steve Carlton and Dick Ruthven was suspect.
