May 31, 1980
Another day, another great start by Steve Carlton. The Phils' ace was just that against the Cubs, shuting out the Chicagoans and keeping the Phils on pace, one game behind Pittsburgh. Fellow Hall-of-Famer Mike Schmidt also had a big day in his favorite home-away-from-home, hitting a pair of home runs and knocking in three runs on the day.
