June 6, 1980
The Phils stumbled home after a 2-4 road trip, and returned to the friendly confines of Veterans Stadium. Rookie Bob Walk wasn't stellar, but he got the outs that he had to in order to last five and two-thirds. The bullpen then took over and was stellar, shutting the Cubs out the rest of the way. It was enough to earn Walk his first major league win, especially with a great night from Lonnie Smith (3-5, 2 runs, 2 RBI).
