June 7, 1980
It only took two months for Randy Lerch to win his second game of the season. Lerch, who was often (but not always) more unlucky than awful, pitched through 5-2/3 innings of two-run ball and received enough offense from his teammates to cinch the victory, with Dickie Noles earning the save. Mike Schmidt had three hits, and Pete Rose, Bob Boone and Manny Trillo had two each.
