Luis Aguayo - #16 - INF

Born – Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, 3/13/1959

B-R, T-R… 5-9, 173

Luis Aguayo made his rookie debut with the Phils in 1980, playing second base in place of an injured Manny Trillo.  He played well, but was sent to the minors in early May when Trillo returned to the lineup.  He was recalled in September and appeared in a handful of games, largely at the end of games to give Larry Bowa a spell.  He was left off of the post-season roster, but would play for the Phillies through much of the 1980s.
