August 29, 1980

Larry Christenson and Tug McGraw gave the Phillies a lift from the mound, holding the San Diego Padres to two runs.  The offense sputtered after the third innings, but scored three before then to earn Christenson his fifth victory of the year. Pete Rose, Keith Moreland, Garry Maddox and Larry Bowa each had a pair of hits for the Phils.
