The Phillies took it on the chin tonight, only managing two runs on five hits against Cards ace Pete Vukovich. Phils starter Randy Lerch was tattooed for five runs and nine hits in six innings of work. This loss dropped the Phils into a second place tie with Expos, and evened their record at 2-2.
