Pirates 4, Phillies 1
PITTSBURGH – Beating the Phillies really hits close to home for Pirate catcher Ed Ott, who lives in Allentown, Pa., about 100 miles north of Philadelphia.
“They’re all Phillies fan out there,” said Ott, who drove in two runs with a home run and groundout in the Pirates’ 4-1 victory. “They think the grass grows red… this helps me over the winter. I can throw little digs in against the Phillies, and I get the laughs instead of the Phillies fans in Allentown.”
