The Phils stayed hot against the slumping New York Mets, outslugging the team from Flushing 11-6. Bob Walk wasn't great, surrendering four runs (two earned) in 7-2/3 innings, but he managed to stay ahead of Mets starter Craig Swan. Both Manny Trillo (his 4th) and Mike Schmidt (his 32nd) homered for the Phils, who had 19 hits for the game.
