All things must end, both bad and good, and the winning streak was over after a six-run outburst by the Padres, aided by a Larry Bowa error, knocked Nino Espinosa out of the game in the fifth inning.  That was enough to defeat the Phils' own big inning, a five-run first inning.  Unfortunately, the Phils were unable to do any further damage to Padres pitching on this day.
