October 11, 1980 - NLCS Game 4 - Phillies 5, Houston 3
Series ties 2-2.
The Phillies had their backs against the wall during game four. Houston only needed one win to capture the pennant and send the Phillies home with yet another bitter defeat. The Phils would have none of it, however, as they came back from a 2-0 deficit to take the lead in the 8th. After Houston tied it to send the game to extra innings, the Phillies scored two runs in the 10th to extend the series to the ultimate 5th game. Greg Luzinski, angered by being benched for the game, would deliver a pinch-hit double that knocked in Pete Rose, who in turn knocked over Astros catcher Bruce Bochy, to score what would become the winning run.
