Another Steve Carlton start... another Steve Carlton win.  Lefty went the distance once again, striking out nine and giving up four runs (three earned) while taking the first game of the series 6-4.  Larry Bowa scored a run and drove in two as he Phils spread the offense around.  Every Phillie in the starting lineup got at least one hit in the game.  With the win, the Phils pulled into a first place tie.
