After the nailbiter the night before, this game was, at least at first, a bit of a beather for the Phils.  Bake McBride led an offensive attack that put a six-spot up in the third inning, hitting a three-run homer.  The Phils gained a seven-run lead for Marty Bystrom, who once more did not give up a run, this time being pulled in the seventh.  Newly acquired Sparky Lyle finished the game, though he did give up four runs to make it more interesting.
