The Phils must have hated flying into Pittsburgh - they never seemed to have any success there.  In the Steel City for the first time since suffering a four-game sweep at the hands of the Pirates, the Phils fell to the Bucs 3-2.  Dick Ruthven pitched well (7 IP 3 ER), but Jim Bibby pitched just a hair better, holding the Phils to two runs on three hits in his eight innings of work.  Mike Schmidt did hit his 39th homer run in the ninth inning, but the Phils couldn't make up that final run.
