An off day as the Phillies and Royals traveled to Kansas City to play games 3-5 at Royals Stadium (today known as Kauffman Stadium after former Royals' owner Ewing Kauffman). The Phillies had to be feeling good, as they held a 2-0 lead and knew that Dick Ruthven would be pitching game 3. The Series would prove to be far from over, however, as the Royals would display some resiliency of their own playing in the comfort of their home field.
